Jalapeño Matzo Balls and Beef Brisket in Adobo:
Comal to host 7th Annual Mexican-Inspired Passover Seders
For the seventh year in a row, Comal will mark Passover with multi-course family-style dinners served in their intimate private dining room, Abajo, on Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23. Executive Chef Matt Gandin has created a menu that infuses his Mexican style into traditional Passover dishes. Dinners will follow the more liberal Sephardic traditions, incorporating rice, beans and corn into the meal, and will forego haggadahs for lively conversation at the communal table. For those who are unable to purchase tickets to the full dinners, Comal will also be serving a “plato fuerte” of beef brisket on their regular menu on each of the Passover Dinner evenings.
The dinners will start promptly at 6:30 PM. Seating is limited to 22 diners each night and tickets have sold out quickly in the past, so guests are encouraged to purchase early. Tickets are offered at $80 per person (including service charge but excluding all beverages) and can be purchased by clicking on one of these links:

Group Dining at Comal
Comal has two great Group Dining options for gatherings of family and friends or business parties – Table 30 and Abajo.
Table 30 is our community table in the front of the restaurant – it seats 8-11 people on long benches. Abajo is our cozy private dining room located in our cellar – it seats 12-22 people. In both cases we offer a multi-course, fixed price menu that can be tailored to the specific needs of your party. For Abajo, we have also created special custom cocktails for parties with names to match on several occasions.
For further information and to inquire about available dates for either of our group dining options, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to our two Group Dining options, Comal offers a variety of private and non-exclusive event options for groups from 25-250 people.
Wedding reception on Comal’s patio
We offer full buyouts for weddings, parties and other events for 75-250 people as well as lunchtime Patio Picnics for 25-100. We also offer partial buyouts on our patio for 75-150 people starting at 8pm on weeknights.
