Have Comal Cater Your Holiday Party!

Comal Catering is a great option for holiday gatherings at home or in the office. The catering menu is comprised of popular dishes from both Comal Next Door and Comal and is designed to satisfy a variety of palates.

Our most popular options are our Burrito Bowl Kits and Taco Bars and no catering order would be complete without our guacamole, chips & salsas, some of our housemade agua fresca and Matt’s chocolate chunk cookies.

Orders can be picked up at Comal Next Door or delivered to your home or office. We have everything you need to make it a “turn-key” event, from compostable plates, bowls and utensils to napkins, cups and serving utensils.

Group Dining at Comal

With the holidays upon us, Comal has two great Group Dining options for gatherings of family and friends or business holiday parties – Table 30 and Abajo.

Table 30 is our community table in the front of the restaurant – it seats 8-11 people on long benches. Abajo is our cozy private dining room located in our cellar – it seats 12-22 people. In both cases we offer a multi-course, fixed price menu that can be tailored to the specific needs of your party. For Abajo, we have also created special custom cocktails for parties with names to match on several occasions.

Buyouts/Patio Gatherings

In addition to our two Group Dining options, Comal offers a variety of private and non-exclusive event options for groups from 25-250 people.

We offer full buyouts for weddings, holiday parties and other events for 75-250 people. We also offer partial buyouts on our patio for 75-150 people starting at 8pm on weeknights.

Center Street Garage Now Open!

We’re excited to report that the brand new, architecturally bold Center St. Garage opened earlier in November to great fanfare. More spacious than typical parking facilities thanks to its double-helix design, the garage is solar-powered and adds 720 parking spaces downtown (roughly 300 more than the previous garage), with space for 350 bicycles, 20 charging stations for electric cars, an area for public art and retail space. There are also several dedicated spots for car-share vehicles, plus lower-level spots for short-term parking to encourage shopping in nearby stores. Let’s just say that parking in downtown Berkeley just got a whole lot easier and more pleasant!
